Adopt
Clay County Cat Care's adoption policy
At Clay County Cat Care, we operate a strict home check-approved adoption policy. In line with ensuring animal welfare, we perform home check interviews with all potential adoptive homes.
Your donation upon adoption will help pay for some of the costs of neutering, microchipping, vaccinating, worm/flea treatment, and veterinary check for the adopted cat or kitten.
The normal veterinary cost of chipping, vaccination, spay/neutering, and treatment in Cornwall is often well in excess of £100, our donation requirement ensures our animals have the best possible start at a reduced cost to the owners.
All our cats are micro-chipped, neutered, flead and wormed and vet checked.
For the entire list of adoption terms and conditions, please contact the rescue by phone or email.

Bobbie
Meet Bobbie Cat!
Bobbie is an 11 year old Burmese boy who came into rescue after sadly losing his owner. Understandably, he found all the changes overwhelming and has been learning to feel safe again in a lovely foster home.
He’s a gentle, affectionate boy who enjoys fuss, purrs, and will lean in for head nudges. He’s a real softie once he trusts you. He also has a playful side and loves his favourite fish toy.
Bobbie can be sensitive to noise and sudden movement, and may hiss if frightened, but this is only fear-based. He just needs patience and a calm environment to build his confidence.
He will need a quiet home, with no other pets or young children and will enjoy a safe garden in the future, but only when he feels fully secure.
