Adopt
Clay County Cat Care's adoption policy
At Clay County Cat Care, we operate a strict home check-approved adoption policy. In line with ensuring animal welfare, we perform home check interviews with all potential adoptive homes.
Your donation upon adoption will help pay for some of the costs of neutering, microchipping, vaccinating, worm/flea treatment, and veterinary check for the adopted cat or kitten.
The normal veterinary cost of chipping, vaccination, spay/neutering, and treatment in Cornwall is often well in excess of £100, our donation requirement ensures our animals have the best possible start at a reduced cost to the owners.
All our cats are micro-chipped, neutered, flead and wormed and vet checked.
For the entire list of adoption terms and conditions, please contact the rescue by phone or email.

Boo
Meet Boo!
Boo is a very affectionate and friendly 6 year old girl who loves attention and enjoys being around people. She is an absolute sweetheart - she gets along with other cats and could possibly live with a calm, cat friendly dog.
Boo does have a severe flea allergy and has sadly suffered terribly with her skin in the past. Because of her condition, her new owner will need to be extremely vigilant with regular flea and worm treatments to keep her healthy, comfortable and in purrfect condition.
Despite everything she’s been through, Boo remains a loving, gentle girl who deserves a caring home where she can be completely spoiled the way she deserves.
To find out more about Boo's adoption requirements, or if you would like to offer Boo a forever home please email adopt@claycountycatcare.com

Charlie
Meet Charlie!
2 year old Charlie is slowly turning into a big softy and is making wonderful progress. His new owners will need to be patient, give him space, and allow him plenty of time to settle into his new home.
When Charlie first arrived, he spent most of his time hiding and hissing for the first month. However, he has never once lashed out. As his confidence has grown, so has his affectionate side. Recently, he has even rolled over a couple of times for belly strokes which is a huge milestone for him!
Charlie can live with other cats and doesn't seem fazed by his foster families dog, so he could possibly live alongside a calm, cat friendly dog.
Charlie just needs someone willing to let him move at his own pace, and we’re sure he'll reward them with lots of love and trust.

Layla & Marley
Meet Layla & Marley!
Layla and Marley are a beautiful bonded pair looking for a loving home together. Both are 6 years old, neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with their vaccinations.
Layla is a White Dollface Persian. She is the quieter, more reserved half of the duo. She enjoys having a cosy box to retreat to and appreciates a calm environment. She has occasional chin dermatitis, and using a flat food bowl helps keep it under control. She has a gorgeous coat and enjoys being brushed.
Marley is a Blue Point Ragdoll. He is the more outgoing and vocal of the pair. He is playful, affectionate, and isn't bothered by a small dog. Marley has a history of urinary crystals, so he must remain on Royal Canin Urinary S/O food for life, along with his special biscuits and supplement. His condition is well managed with this routine.
Both cats have stunning coats and are happy to be groomed and brushed. They will need an experienced home familiar with Persians or other long haired pedigree cats.
