CLAY COUNTY CAT CARE

We are currently closed for rehoming.

All the team at Clay County Cat Care would like to say a massive Merry Christmas to you all. Our doors are now closed for Christmas and we will only be dealing with emergencies, we reopen on 4/1/25 this gives our teams who carry out certain roles to take time out and spend with their families at Christmas. We will still have a skeleton team of volunteers who will be in daily dealing with the cats currently at the rescue and vet appointments that we have booked in. Any messages/calls may not be replied to till we return in the New Year.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone that has donated towards the rescue this year which has enabled us to fight for the lives of so many of the cats that have come in to our care.

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to all of our volunteers who have gone above and beyond this last year, without all you we wouldn't of been able to help all the cats that came through our rescue doors, at times it’s been absolutely manic but you all worked so damn hard to ensure all these cats were well cared for whilst at the rescue.

I would also like to thank our team of fosterers who have also this year been able to help so many cats adapt to a home environment after living on the streets and taken cats with medical conditions who needed around the clock care.

I would also like to thank every family that has adopted one or more of our rescue cats this year. I would also like to thank all the vet practices who have gone above and beyond to help each and every rescue cat that came their way.

The New Year will bring new changes and I’m sure more challenges for myself and the team to face and over come. But with supporters like yourselves by our sides I feel we can overcome any challenges we are faced with.

I will also be taking a few days off to spend with my family over the festive period but as usual my phone will be on for emergencies, but please only contact me in a complete emergency. If you find a sick or injured cat please call the RSPCA main contact number or contact the nearest veterinary practice.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and enjoy spending time with your families and friends and I look forward to sharing all our new exciting changes in the New Year.

And from me again thank you all for the amazing support you have shown not just to the rescue but to me, without all your support I’m sure this year could have been much different.

To all the other rescues that have had such an emotional and hard year we wish you an amazing Christmas too, and keep up all the amazing work each and every one of you do.

See you all in the New Year, love Leanne
